Surah al-Qadr ayah 1
Inna anzalna hu fi laylati'l-qadr
Surely it (the Quran) was sent down during the Night of Decree

Giving the interpretation of the opening verse, Mujahid says that acts of worship done during that night and the fast performed the following day is superior to the acts of worship of one thousand months which contain no Night of Decree. Ibn Jarir preferred this view
