Way back when I was in elementary school we took a learning styles test. For some reason I still remember it all these years later. It talks about four learning styles, which are called Concrete Sequential, Abstract Sequential, Concrete Random, and Abstract Random.

I seem to remember that I got Concrete Sequential way back then (we're talking about at least 20 years ago). I found a test online that you have to score yourself. This time I got Abstract Sequential very strongly while Concrete Sequential has now become my weakest or least used learning style. So I seem to have become a more abstract thinker in adulthood...
