Kucinich: Bush's World War III comment shows mental instability

Associated Press - October 30, 2007 5:55 PM ET

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - In an interview today, Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich questioned President Bush's mental health in light of comments he made about a nuclear Iran precipitating World War Three.

Kucinich said the president doesn't seem to understand that his words have real impact in the world.

In an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer's editorial board, Kucinich said if there isn't something wrong with Bush then there's something wrong with the American public.

Kucinich, known for his liberal views, trails far behind the leading candidates in most Democratic polls.

Bush made the remarks about Iran and World War Three at a news conference earlier this month.

In response to Kucinich, Republican National Committee spokesman Dan Ronayne said it was hard to take Kucinich seriously.
