WASHINGTON, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Democratic Presidential candidate and Congressman Dennis Kucinich formally introduced his new National Campaign Manager: Army combat veteran and business consultant Mike Klein.
A graduate of West Point, Klein was an Airborne Ranger Infantry Lieutenant serving in the 25th Infantry Division, and was assigned to Army Central Command in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm.
"Mike is a strong leader who combines exceptional organizational and management skills with keen political insights and instincts," said Kucinich.
Klein comes from a military family and carried on the tradition from his father, who was a Lt. Commander in the Navy. Although born in San Diego, he has lived in ten states around the country. He continued his military service in the Army Reserves with the rank of Captain until 2003.
He is now working as a business consultant specializing in media and early stage technology companies. Klein accepted the position of Campaign Manager because of his passionate support for Kucinich's vision of a more secure path for America.
"I do not believe that our current path is viable in economic or security terms," said Klein. "I categorically disagree with right wing, neo- conservative policy. I fully support the Strength through Peace doctrine. Because of my military background, I believe this is the only basis for a sustainable future."
