Statement of Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich On Ford's Announcement Of Job Cuts and Assembly Plant Closures

WASHINGTON - January 23 - Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH) issued the following statement today on Ford's announcement of job cuts and assembly plant closures:

"The Ford plants in Brook Park have some of the best trained, most highly motivated workers at one of the best facilities in the world. I am hopeful Ford is taking this into account. I stand ready to assist the recovery of the American automotive industry in any way possible. I will also continue my fight to ensure workers in our community retain the benefits and pensions they were promised and the jobs that are vital to our local economy."
