Presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich, the lone Democrat besides John Kerry still campaigning for the party's nomination, will speak at a rally 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday in Vancouver.

The rally, hosted by the newly formed Progressives of Southwest Washington, will be at the First Congregational Church UCC, 1220 N.E. 68th St.

A former mayor of Cleveland, Kucinich represents Ohio in the U.S. House.

He's campaigning in Oregon before that state's May 18 primary. Besides Kucinich and Kerry, who has the nomination sewed up, Lyndon LaRouche will appear on the ballot.

In Washington's presidential caucuses in February, Kucinich received 7 percent of the vote.
