the coming month

There is a big gap in the primary schedule now; it's March 21 and the next election isn't until April 13. The DNC front-loaded the primary schedule, so that most of the primaries have already happened, but there are some states who didn't take part in that game and their primaries (and caucuses, in the case of Colorado) are scattered over the next few months. The DNC is likely to discover the drawback of the front-loaded schedule: there's now a time when Kerry will lose some momentum since he won't be in the news as much.

It'll be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks.
