WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich has entered an Ohio hospital to undergo tests on an intestinal ailment, spokesman Doug Gordon said on Monday.
Kucinich, a congressman from Ohio, began feeling ill on Saturday and canceled campaign appearances in Florida and Alabama to enter the hospital for the tests, he said.
Gordon declined to name the city where Kucinich, who is from Cleveland, was undergoing the tests, but said the ailment was not serious.
"He hopes to resume a full schedule later in the week," Gordon said.
Kucinich has continued to campaign even though Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry wrapped up the Democratic presidential nomination.
