Kucinich gets 17% in American Samoa caucuses

Now if this result is repeated in other primaries and caucuses, Dennis may start getting a real delegate count! ;-) Originally published in KPUA Hawaii News

Kerry takes American Samoa's Democratic caucus

By Associated Press

John Kerry easily won the presidential poll at American Samoa's Democratic caucuses tonight.

According to preliminary results, Kerry, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, received 83 percent of the votes while Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich received 17 percent.

American Samoa has six votes in July's Democratic National Convention in Boston. The local delegation will be led by former territorial Senator Galeai Tuufuli.

American Samoa is a U-S territory about 23-hundred miles south of Hawaii.
