Kucinich on the campaign trail in New Mexico
Kucinich makes this report from the campaign trail
Hi Everyone, this is Dennis.
Right now at this moment I've just left a rally in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and we have had tremendous turnout in Los Alamos, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, in Santa Fe and in Albuquerque in the last 24 hours.
Our campaign's on the move here, and there's a good feeling, and I think we may surprise a few people here in New Mexico. As you know, we're moving through this series of primaries, there's seven coming up on Tuesday, and then we get ready for primaries in Washington and Maine, as well as Super Tuesday, where so many delegates are up for grabs.
This is the moment that we need to keep pressing, and pushing, and gathering all the resources we have so that make it possible for us to make the strongest showing. I believe, as I've said this before, that this campaign has the potential to go all the way to the convention and that we can bring a block of delegates into that convention where no one will come in with 50% of the delegates or anyone who comes into it at all with any degree of delegates can have the opportunity to become the next president of the United States. So you can still make it happen. You can make it happen with your participation, with your volunteer work, with your phone calls and with your financial contribution.
This is the moment, though, when we need the money. Because we need to move forward, we need to purchase ads and other materials for the upcoming election. So help us out - as you've been there in the past, I know you're going to be there again.
This is Dennis calling from New Mexico, I'll be back to you again soon, I just want to let you know how much I appreciate all that you've done to get us to this point where we're able to continue the message of peace, and of prosperity, and of hope to people all over this country. Thank you very much.
