Announcing the 20/20/20 Initiative!

Hi, this is Dot Maver, National Campaign Manager. "20/20 vision" - the eyes that see through the lies - is something we all know about. Dennis Kucinich and Kucitizens alike have it - the ability to see clearly and perceive rightly. Whether it be phantom weapons of mass destruction, amazing disappearing Pentagon funds or evaporating health care services to Americans, the people in this campaign see what's going on and they are taking steps to turn this country around.

The Federal Election Commission reported last Friday that somehow, even without Kerry, Dean and Bush taking federal money, the FEC Matching Campaign Fund is experiencing a shortfall. The Kucinich Campaign is owed over $2 million as of today, but the FEC will only be contributing 46 cents on the dollar due to lack of funds. We will receive the balance sometime after April 15th.

So this is what we can do in our 20/20/20 Initiative:

1. Each member of this campaign pledges to give $20.00 right now.

2. Each member of this campaign pledges to contact 20 family members and friends.

3. Each member of this campaign pledges to call 20 undecided voters and urges them to cast their ballot for Dennis Kucinich in their state’s primary or caucus.

If everyone in this campaign gave $20 right now, today, we could raise over a million dollars for desperately needed television and radio advertisements, newspaper ads and campaign costs.

Because of the FEC snafu, we really need the first "20" - that's money - now! Please, if you can, call the Campaign Headquarters toll-free at 1-866-413-3664 and make your donation. Or contribute online at https://www.kucinich.us/contribute.php .

The second "20" is about connecting with family members, friends and neighbors. To accomplish this, we need each and every Kucitizen to contact 20 family members, 20 friends (old high school buddies, college roommates, even your best friend) or 20 neighbors (phone them, invite them for coffee, or just drop by). The power of one person - you - will make all the difference in these important days of this primary/caucus season. Your 20 contacts will be among the most important in this campaign.

And the last 20 in the 20/20/20 Initiative is your effort to make 20 telephone calls from the campaign list of voter rolls, and urge other citizens to change the direction of this country by supporting Dennis J. Kucinich in their states. Log on and click on "Call Voters" - http://www.kucinich.us/calls/ - to get your list of voters, then start calling your 20 names.

It is with heartfelt joy and appreciation that I write to you, Kucitizens, as we begin the most critical two months of this amazing campaign. Thank you for your efforts. Together we are making a difference. The 20/20/20 Initiative is three simple things we all can do to keep our momentum rolling and keep Dennis Kucinich, the peace candidate, on track in this primary season.

This is the moment.

In the Spirit of Peace and with great hope for our future,
Dot
