Having finished adding up the last checks from the fourth quarter, the Kucinich campaign announced today that it raised $1.7 million in the fourth quarter, matching the $1.7 million raised in the third quarter, and topping the $1.5 million raised in the second quarter and the $187 thousand raised in the first quarter. The total stands at $5.09 million, with $3.34 million already filed for federal matching funds based on contributions only through December 4. With at least 80 percent being matched, the total for 2003 is approximately $9 million. The new year got off to a fast start, bringing in $116 thousand with a concert, dinner, and reception in Austin, Texas.
