Kucinich comes in second in Santa Cruz non-binding caucus
The Santa Cruz Sentinel reports on a non-binding caucus of Santa Cruz Democrats. The story trumpets it as a great victory for Dean, but look at the results:
At Saturday’s event, Dean garnered 183 votes. Former Cleveland mayor and now U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich came in second with 126 votes, followed by: retired Gen. Wesley Clark with 111; U.S. Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts with 10; U.S. Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina with 6; former U.S. Sen. Carol Mosley Braun of Illinois with four and Rev. Al Sharpton of New York with one vote. U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman and U.S. Rep. Dick Gephardt received no votes.
