GIVING MORE THAN THANKS
For Thanksgiving, November 27, and the following days, Kucinich campaign chapters in each state are organizing ways in which you can assist those in your community who need a helping hand. Get in touch with your local organizers and find out about soup kitchens, homeless shelters, nursing homes, and children's hospitals where a team of you can provide assistance. Make plans over Thanksgiving weekend to clean up parks and provide other services to your community. Thanksgiving is a family holiday, so bring your whole family along! Go to http://kucinich.us and select your state on the right.

MEETING UP
December 4 at 7 p.m. is an opportunity to meet your nearby Kucitizens and welcome new supporters into the campaign. Sign up now if you haven't, and vote on the location if you haven't done that. The campaign advises against meeting in Borders Books locations in order to provide solidarity with striking workers.

INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY
December 10 is International Human Rights Day. The Kucinich campaign is making this a day of service. Contact your local organizers to learn of ways you can provide services to others on this day. If you have to work all day, not to worry: your job is a service. You can help by contributing all or part of your income that day to the campaign. Go to http://kucinich.us and select your state on the right.

CELEBRATION OF LIGHT
Here comes the next big round of house parties for Dennis. As you know, we've had several rounds of house parties for the campaign, including the International Day of Peace, which brought in $400,000. Sunday, December 14 is the day on which we want to break that mark and show what we can really do with house parties as a tool for organizing and fundraising. SIGN UP NOW: http://www.kucinich.us/houseparties

Here's the theme: December 15, which is a Monday, will mark the 25th anniversary of Dennis's refusal to sell the Cleveland municipal electric system to a private company. Dennis had campaigned for election promising not to sell, and he kept his word in the face of intense pressure from banks, the business community, and the media, saving Clevelanders hundreds of millions of dollars. With a light bulb as his campaign symbol, Dennis won a seat in the Ohio State Senate in 1994. The slogan that sent him to Washington two years late was "Light Up Congress." So, in celebrating light during the darkest days of the year, we are also celebrating the courage of one man to stand up to corporate power, his willingness to risk it all, and his vindication. Start making plans to light up your house on December 14 with a party to help Dennis light up America! SIGN UP NOW: http://www.kucinich.us/houseparties
