NAFTA: 10 YEARS IS ENOUGH

DENNIS RECOMMENDS THIS BOOK

"The Five Biggest Lies Bush Told Us About Iraq," by Christopher Scheer, Lakshmi Chaudhry and Robert Scheer. It is an insightful and incisive primer exposing the misinformation campaign George Bush's White House used to secure the support of Congress, the media, and a majority of Americans for a preemptive invasion and occupation of Iraq. http://www.alternet.org/fivelies

DOES AMERICA WANT WOMEN TO REGISTER FOR DRAFT?

At a recent Planned Parenthood forum in New Hampshire, John Kerry, Wesley Clark, and Howard Dean supported requiring 18-year-old women to register for the military draft, as 18-year-old men are now required to do. Dennis opposed this further expansion of war into our culture. He favors working to eliminate mandatory draft registration for men. Here's a transcript: http://www.kucinich.us/cand_on_draft_for_women.php

CUBA: WE NEED A NEW APPROACH

Today Dennis Kucinich said: "Even though both houses of Congress had passed identical amendments eliminating funding to enforce the ban on traveling to Cuba, the ban remains in place. This is because a conference committee meeting behind closed doors overruled the Congress and took out the language which would have removed the funding that enforces the ban. The United States' Cuba policy is a failure. The unilateral embargo must be lifted The persistently hostile and aggressive rhetoric must cease. We must lift not only the trade embargo. We must also lift the travel ban We must cooperate with Cuba on issues of national security. It is time to create a new era in Cuban-American relations."

DENNIS AGREES TO DINNER DATE

At the same Planned Parenthood forum mentioned above, Dennis, a bachelor, joked about who his ideal First Lady would be. A news website at http://www.politicsnh.com/mrskucinich.html took Dennis at his word and launched a contest for a dinner date with the presidential candidate. They are posting profiles of interested single women, and at some point will let readers pick the best potential First Lady. Politics NH has proposed to fly the winner to New Hampshire to meet and dine with Dennis. Yesterday Dennis accepted their gracious offer and agreed to go out to dinner with one of the many women who are posting their information on the site.
