There are less than 75 days left until the Iowa Caucuses, and the New Hampshire primary is eight days later. Now is the time to act. Attacks in Iraq are killing U.S. troops on an almost daily basis. This country is continuing to lose jobs. Fewer people have health coverage. More people are homeless. College tuition costs are soaring. The wealth of the nation is being diverted to war profiteering and tax cuts for the wealthiest. The social safety net is being shredded, as are protections for workers and our environment. The Bush Administration is leaving a legacy of death, destruction, and deficits.

Dennis Kucinich is best positioned to defeat Bush by giving voters a strong alternative. Dennis is the only candidate who voted against the War on Iraq and the only candidate who voted against the "PATRIOT Act." He is the only candidate who will make his first act in office repealing NAFTA and withdrawing from the WTO in favor of fair bilateral trade agreements based on workers' rights, human rights, and environmental protections. Kucinich is the only candidate with a detailed plan to provide every American with health coverage.

Dennis recently said: "In 2002, for the first time in 40 years, the party out of power (the Democrats) failed to gain seats in an off-year election in Congress. This is directly due to our leadership's failure to challenge the President on the war. When the Democrats show up, the people show up. And they will show up in 2004 and elect a Democratic President and Congress when we show up and challenge the lies and the war."

MEETUPS A SUCCESS
There were 145 Kucinich MeetUps on Nov. 6, and participants gave them higher marks than ever. Kucinich Democrats made a special effort to invite members
of other parties. Here's a comment posted by a Kucitizen from Dayton, Ohio:

"One of the biggest groups we've had so far. Discussed possible public fund-raising opportunities and plain old organizing. Green, Natural Law, Libertarian and traditional Democrat philosophies were all represented. LOTS of good ideas, emphasizing getting connected and getting the word out!"

It's not too early to sign up for the next first-Thursday-of-the-month MeetUp in your town: http://kucinich2004.meetup.com/

Here are two specific things you can do to help Dennis win the Democratic nomination.

PHONE OR WRITE TO AN EARLY VOTER
-- Dennis can best win the primary or caucus in your state by winning those in Iowa and New Hampshire. You can help by phoning or writing to Iowa and New Hampshire voters. To get involved, write to nationalphonebanks@kucinich.us

BUY A BILLBOARD
-- The Kucinich campaign has designed billboard ads to be displayed in Iowa and New Hampshire. The first set of billboards cost $800 each and will be placed in Des Moines, IA, for one month. Get some friends together to buy a billboard or two to get the message out about Dennis! To see one of the ad designs and to contribute to the cause, click here: http://iowabillboards.kintera.org
