YE$, we did it

BEFORE we give you the great news on fundraising, don’t forget that this Thursday is the October Meetup where you get to meet with likeminded folks in your part of the country. See below.
WE DID IT!
We reached our fundraising goal. Campaign staffers were up all night answering your phone calls. The money you contributed boosted funding for the third quarter (which ended yesterday) above the $1.54 million brought in last quarter.
Other campaigns have declined in fundraising. Since almost all donations are modest, almost all will qualify for federal matching funds, which will give the campaign a further boost early next year. If you missed the third quarter deadline, you can donate now to get us off to a brisk start on the fourth quarter. Go to https://www.kucinich.us/contribute.php or call (866) 413-3664.
MEETUP THIS THURSDAY!
Oct. 2 is the first Thursday of the month – time to Meetup with new Kucinich supporters and those interested in the campaign. To sign up for a Meetup in your area, go to http://kucinich2004.meetup.com

KUCINICH TO CONGRESS: JUST SAY NO
Congressman Kucinich continued his antiwar leadership in Congress today when he took to the House floor to urge his colleagues to reject more money to continue the Iraq war: "It is time to bring our troops home and end his sorry exercise in preemption and unilateralism. America can ill afford to spend another $87 billion in support of a war that has no end, no exit, no logic, and no sense. It is time to come up with a plan to get the UN in and the US out. Today, the Administration will tell Congress that it was deceived by Saddam Hussein into thinking Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Let this Congress not be deceived by an Administration that took this nation into a war we did not have to fight."
KUCINICH AND NADER TO HOLD RALLY
Dennis will join Ralph Nader at a mass rally in Washington D.C. organized by Democracy Rising next Tuesday, Oct. 7. The rally will promote statehood for the District, and address the growing needs in D.C. for affordable housing, health care facilities, and well maintained libraries.
