Kucinich Files Campaign Finance Report

October 15, 2003

Democratic presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich says he has raised about $3.5 million for his White House bid.

The four-term Ohio congressman is required to submit a campaign finance report to the Federal Election Commission Wednesday.

The report is for money raised from July to September.

Kucinich's campaign said the report would show that Kucinich raised $1.65 million during that period. That's more than the $1.54 million he raised from April to June.

Kucinich is considered a long-shot candidate in a field of nine for the Democratic presidential nomination.

He trails the pack in the race for early money.

Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean is the Democratic money leader, raising about $15 million in the third quarter.
