Western Journalists in Support of Kashmir
Are the people of Kashmir "terrorists" targeting India, an "innocent democracy"? Or has India systematically denied the rights of the people of Kashmir and oppressed them? Is it possible that the Kashmiri cause has been hijacked by extremists? Should our condemnation of terrorism lead us to condemn the entire Kashmir independence movement? Here are some articles by Western journalists and some Indians who support the Kashmiri cause. Take the time to learn both sides of the story.

Human Rights Reports on India in Kashmir
In the American media we read quite a bit about attacks on civilians by certain Kashmiri groups and other reports of terrorism (to read about why Islam actually forbids violence against civilians, please see What Islam Really Says About Killing the Innocent). These are the acts of extremists who are hijacking the Kashmiri cause. The articles I have linked to above I hope will show you (God willing) that the Kashmiri cause itself is just, not only as viewed by the Kashmiris themselves but also as viewed by a number of thoughtful Western journalists. These articles have made mention of human rights violations against the Kashmiri people by India. Now in this section I have provided some links to reports of human rights organizations like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch to verify these claims. This is not to deny human rights violations by certain Kashmiri groups, but rather to bring to light the actions by India that they are responding to. Reports on the Kashmiris are easy to find; reports on India are much less so and that is why I am providing these links as a resource.
