show/hide sidebar blocks

One of the tricks I've set up on the veiled4allah index page is to allow visitors to show or hide the sidebar blocks. I can't stop adding sidebar stuff, but not everybody wants to look at all of it. Now they can hide the parts they don't want or need to see.

I did this using the show/hide sidebar gadgets script from Scriptygoddess. Your blog index page will need to be a PHP page, and the whole thing takes some work to set up, so it's not for everyone. However, the instructions are straightforward, especially if you have some experience putting PHP code in your blog. Gather your courage, and be sure to make a backup copy of your template before you start in case you mess things up.

You can see how the PHP code is set up on the veiled4allah template on my templates page.
