My first plugin

Actually, 99.99% of the credit goes to Phil Ringnalda because I just modified his CommentSwap plugin to create TrackbackSwap.

The TrackbackSwap plugin gives you a tag <$MTTrackbackSwap$> that you can use in your templates in place of mt-tb.cgi or <$MTTrackbackScript$>. You will need to create a copy of mt-tb.cgi called mt-notb.cgi and upload it. You'll also need to add a line in your robots.txt file disallowing access to mt-notb.cgi if you want Google not to index your blank trackbacks.

Added: Oddly enough, this question is addressed from a different angle at the official Six Apart blog

I went ahead and added this to the plugin directory, and set up a file on the mt-plugins site so it could be used with the plugin manager. smile Thanks!

Cool, thanks! I hope that you'll add Phil Ringnalda's original CommentSwap plugin too because he really deserves all the credit.
