create a global listing of entries

The GlobalListings plugin allows you to create a listing of recent entries or comments across all the blogs in your system, or across specified blogs in your system. This is different from the OtherBlog plugin, which can only list entries from one blog at a time. GlobalListings creates a single combined listing.

I'm using it to create a global RSS feed.

In order to have the page update automatically whenever I update any of the blogs that are feeding it, I created the same template name and output file in each blog (I'm storing it in the directory for Al-Muhajabah's Islamic Blogs, so for the other blogs, I'm using an absolute server path for the output file). This means that each time the index templates for a given blog are rebuilt, the global RSS feed is rebuilt as well.

To make it easy to update the file if necessary, I also linked it to an external file and then pulled it into templates in the other blogs via the linked file.
