get thee to Body and Soul

Date: May 22, 2004 | 2 Rabi al-Akhir 1425 Hijriah
Subjects: iraq, aftermath
Jeanne d'Arc at Body and Soul has long been known for her thoughtful posts discussing some of the moral issues of politics from her personal perspective. I've linked to her more than once here. I'd now like to point you to her post And in my thirst they gave my vinegar to drink, about Abu Ghuraib. In her post, she manages to touch on everything from the Israeli occupation of Palestine, to the strange sexual fascination some people out there seem to have (you don't want to see some of the search requests in my referrer logs), to problems in how both the political left and the right have tended to respond, and a whole lot more besides.

Thanks again, Jeanne, for being a voice of conscience.
