comments are down

Date: February 07, 2004 | 15 Dhu-l-Hijjah 1424 Hijriah
Subjects: hacker
Shortly after I posted my entry about my caucus experience to the Muslims for Kucinich blog, somebody crapflooded my blog with nearly 700 comments in less than ten minutes:

commentnumber.jpg

Each comment was posted apparently from a different IP address and a different gibberish name, making it impossible to block them or to search for and delete the comments in bulk that way. I have removed the MT comments script from my server until further notice.

The content of each comment was:

STOP TRYING TO INFLUENCE OUR VOTES, TERRORISTS. RpnIGQkXBH TFfvjYmB UmjGJFELWr CMlfaN oGRIIIPRgkDA ql IUpv KXyycH LK KmUdcUZk xoWo cwEma MbQxLAc QvoYv qSei heEbYcACQp
Repeated 687 times. You can see what the comments looked like before I deleted them here.

Lovely, huh?

P.S. If you want to drop me a line, email webmaster-at-muhajabah-dot-com inshallah.
