Subject: Re: Imagine the America you want to live in #16
My top three priorities are to ensure access to healthcare, education, and the justice system for all people, regardless of their income.Subject: Re: Imagine the America you want to live in #16
My first priority would be ALL children; ie: protection, security, love, health, education, diverse opportunity ... WE are RESPONSIBLE for all the children - for who they are today, and for whom they will become tomorrow. My second concern would be COMPETENT healthcare for ALL. Good Health should not be a luxury for the wealthier people.
My third concern would be Mental Illness and Addiction. There is so much to be learned, so many to be helped.

hmmm, lot's of things I'd rather see my taxes go to1. Universal quality healthcare for ALL, including non residents, legal or illegal (esp the kids)
2. True victim help within the justice system (most DA's are more concerned with just getting some conviction or plea bargain, not to inform the victims of a crime of their rights or status of a case)
3. How about stopping the "paying the farmers NOT to farm" thing? FEED people, and who gives a hoot about big business! Stop sending sub-quality food items overseas as aid! etc
4. Nix military spending
5. Send some REAL help for the AIDS crises in Africa, and forgive outstanding DEBTS
OK, that was more than just a tax comment *ahem*
