Ramadan blogging

Date: October 27, 2003 | 1 Ramadan 1424 Hijriah
Subjects: muslim, blogs, ramadan
Muslim Wake Up has a Ramadan Journal blog where people are sharing their Ramadan thoughts and experiences. I may be posting to this on occasion, inshallah.

Update: I'm now officially a blogger at the Ramadan Journal and my first post, "Winter Ramadan, Summer Ramadan", is up. As you can see, this is going to be a light-hearted, casual project. Maybe some serious thoughts shared, but mostly it just allows everybody to get a feel for the daily experiences of a Muslim who is fasting.

Update 2: My second and third posts are also up. The second is part of what will inshallah be an ongoing feature, "Al-Muhajabah's Ayah of the Day", while the third returns to the tone of the first; it's called "Ramadan at work". Inshallah, I'll post a single entry here at veiled4allah each day with links to all the day's posts at Ramadan journal, for the convenience of those who don't want to have to check multiple blogs.

Note: All Muslims are welcome to join the Ramadan Journal project. The more the merrier! Just drop me an email and I'll get you connected with the MWU crew, inshallah.

Subject: Re: Ramadan blogging

You can get it down to three by visiting the Al-Muhajabah's Islamic Blogs index page, which brings together not only AMIB but also excerpts of the latest posts at my other blogs such as Movable Type Tips, Niqabi Paralegal, and Muslims for Kucinich; Open Source Politics, and Ramadan Journal.

If I could figure out a way to extract only my posts from OSP and Ramadan Journal then I could put those on the AMIB page as well. In the meantime I do try to make it easier by mentioning here at veiled4allah when I've posted to OSP and Ramadan Journal.

P.S. The Ramadan Journal project is seeking as many new authors as possible. I know that there's bad blood between you and the Muslim Wake Up crew but if you'd like to share your Ramadan thoughts there, I'll put in a word for you with them, inshallah.
