killing comment spam again

Date: October 15, 2003 | 18 Shaban 1424 Hijriah
Subjects: website, features
I am now serving as an alpha tester for the next release of MT-Blacklist. It is much improved over the original release and I am no longer having the problems I was. I even have got it to play well with my other hacks and mods.

If a visitor attempts to submit a comment that contains a URL on my blacklist, they will be taken to my Comment Submission Error screen with a message that their comment contains questionable content and they have the opportunity to edit it. If a visitor posts a comment with an unknown URL that I determine is spam, I get a notification email with a link that allows me to review the URLs submitted with the comment and add some or all of them to my blacklist. I can then delete the comment from my system.

MT-Blacklist is both powerful and easy to use. I strongly recommend that every MT blogger install it. You won't notice it until you need it, then you'll be glad you have it.
