reading list

Date: October 08, 2003 | 11 Shaban 1424 Hijriah
Subjects: books
To be a European Muslim, by Tariq Ramadan

Progressive Muslims, edited by Omid Safi

Islam in the African-American Experience, by Richard Brent Turner

Black Pilgrimage to Islam, by Robert Dannin

The links are to Amazon.com but I got my copies on loan from the Seattle Public Library. Inshallah, I'll post something about each of the books as I read it.

They should work now. Thanks for catching that. It was all for lack of closing quotation marks.

Yes, it is excellent. I've just started it and already I can tell that. He is a man of deep faith and thorough knowledge. I'll look for the Salon interview, inshallah.

Salaam,

Tariq Ramadan is speaking at ExpoIslamia this Sunday. I have seen some of his interviews, and he is certainly a thoughful man. It'll be interesting to see what he says.

This reminds me, I was meant to write a small review of "To Be A European Muslim" many months ago.
