notes and updates

Stay tuned for the launch of the top secret blogging project that I mentioned earlier. It's coming very, very soon...

With much regret, I've decided to stop doing the Muslim Voices series for the foreseeable future. There are nearly 150 blogs to check, which takes up 4 to 5 hours of my time on Saturdays. Now that I'm working nearly full time (30 hours a week), there's a lot more stuff that I need to do on weekends. Plus there's the top secret blogging project. I feel bad about dropping it because it was of benefit to me as well as (I hope) to my readers. I hope that in the future I'll be able to continue it in a more limited form.

On a related note, please check out A Dervish's Du'a by sister Maryam. This is a brand new blog with some excellent content up already. I look forward to watching it develop, inshallah.

can't wait to see what the "top secret" project is...
i'd always wondered where you got the time to do so much on your site AND read so many other blogs to come up with the Muslim Voices series...it was a great idea and an awesome service for those of us who find it hard to keep up with all the great muslim blogs out there without your MV series...i think you should delegate it to someone instead of not doing it at all...it will leave a void that should be filled wink

I'd love to delegate the MV series, if anybody would volunteer to take it over smile

The top secret project involves a lot of politics and legal stuff, though I'll also be posting about Islam and Islamic culture. It's a group blog and there's lots of interesting people involved. I've been doing MT set up the last week and a half and have some more to do over this weekend.

Aww shucks, Jazakallahu khayr.

I must admit from what I can tell (through web searches, other blogs, movable type tips etc.) Al-Muhajabah is a bit of a lejj (legend) with this blogging business.

I already nicked the Islamic date bit from the tips - so thanks heaps and heaps!

Wow over a 150 blogs to check-the Muslim blogs have deffinitely increased from long time ago alhamdulillah-and many are talking about beneficial stuff.
