more on TypePad

Date: July 06, 2003 | 6 Jumada al-Awwal 1424 Hijriah
Subjects: blogs, features, typepad
The problem with having so many blogs is that sometimes I forget to come back and post to the main one. In this case, I've been off playing with TypePad again.

TypePad makes it very easy to create an online photo album. I've created an album of Niqab Pictures. These can be also found in the Niqab Photo Gallery on my static website, which is where I stole them from. My photo album isn't very exciting but I expect that this feature of TypePad would be very nice for people who want to post real photos that they've taken.

Typepad looks awesome. I've checked out a couple of francophone typepad blogs. All the cool features of MT, and even a little better (trackbacks do not open a seperate pop up window).

It seems Sixapart is getting non-English speakers to set up typepad blogs to test them out. And you, Al-Muhajabah, because you are so cool.

I'm lookinf ofrward to the system being open to less cool folks

Abu Saleem - I'm so glad you got accepted as a beta tester. Your new blog looks great! smile

Ikram - Thanks. They need a few beta testers like me who already know MT pretty thoroughly, so that we can catch the bugs, and they need beta testers like Abu Saleem so they can see how regular bloggers handle it (none of this "I'm not cool" stuff from either of you).

I'm glad they've got some non-Anglophone beta testers. Starting a few months ago with 2.6 they added a lot of foreign-language support to MT, both the front end and the back end.

Hopefully they will soon be opening TypePad to the public, inshallah.
