ROFL!! I've received this in three email forwards and seen it on several blogs. The page originally went up in mid-February because I posted about it to another blog on 2/19.Subject: Re: where are those pesky WMDs?
As a Mariner fan since 1985, all I can say is: the bull-pen is better now than in the late 1990's. On TV they just talked about the great Slocumb for Varitek and Lowe trade. Let's leave that alone for now...Subject: Re: where are those pesky WMDs?
Very true. I remember when the Mariners used to be perpetually at the bottom of the AL West. The bullpen has always been their weak spot, though, even now that they're a much better team. A few years back a joke was circulating that some of the relief pitchers must have blackmailed the manager with compromising photos of him because what else explains why he kept sending them in no matter how big the lead was that they threw away.
