Muslim voices 5

Date: April 20, 2003 | 17 Safar 1424 Hijriah
Subjects: muslim, blogs
The first blog in today's installment is pumpkin patch by sister Arshe. She posts Islamic information and personal reflections. In a recent post (second of April 19), she reports on the progress of a project by Muslim elementary school students to prepare relief kits for people in Iraq. If that one doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will.

Second, we have Sammerz blog. There's lots of Islamic information posted to this blog with personal stories as well. Recent posts range from why it may not be a good idea to declaw your cat (April 10) to an article about modesty (April 9).

Third is Self-Nasihah by brother Jabir. Nasihah is an Arabic word that means "giving advice". So self-nasihah would be advice that Jabir gives to himself in encouraging himself to be a better Muslim. This seems to be the second version of the blog since he has some archives from last autumn. It's an interesting concept for a blog and I look forward to seeing how it develops, inshallah.

Fourth, we have Shabnegar by SASAN. The blog is largely commentary on current events with some personal reflections and lots of interesting pictures chosen to illustrate the posts.

Finally there is starrysky's blog. Sister starrysky shares reflections on her life and her efforts to be a good Muslim as well as other thoughts and reflections.
