modification to comments system

Date: March 16, 2003 | 11 Muharram 1424 Hijriah
Subjects: website, features
Well, I still don't have threaded comments working. I've been in contact with the developer and we can't figure out why it isn't writing all the information to the database.

But I found a way to make a little lemonade from this lemon. You can now "reply with quote". When you click the "reply with quote" link next to any comment, the text of the comment will be automatically entered into the comment reply field and put in italics. You can edit this as much as you want, or even delete it entirely; it's just there for you to start with.

I've also deleted the comment subject field since it wasn't working.

Happy commenting and happy quoting!

That's cool.

The new commenting system looks complicated now... or maybe I'm just slow, lol.

I guess you haven't commented since I set up the new system? It has a lot more features now but it is a bit more complicated, because you view the comments first then click to go to a comment posting form.
