family: can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em...

I got a letter in the mail from my mom the other day. She's in Minnesota, visiting her family, as I had mentioned previously. She said she and her sisters had a long and emotionally grueling talk about their family and when they were growing up, which brought up a lot of feelings and issues she had put to rest many years ago. I wanted to give her a hug when I read this. Sometimes family can be the best thing in the world. And sometimes it can be the worst.
