threaded comments?

Date: February 24, 2003 | 22 Dhu-l-Hijjah 1423 Hijriah
Subjects: website, features
I'm thinking about adding threaded comments to this blog. This would mean that you could reply specifically to any comment as well as to the post itself and your comment would be displayed directly below the one it's responding to instead of at the end of the list. Does anybody have any opinions about whether this is a good or bad idea? I would have to make some changes to the way comments are displayed, which is why I haven't done it yet.

Assalamualikum Veiled4Allah,

My comment is not related to the thread, sorry!

I came across your website (not sure if this is your site) and I find it very interesting and refreshing : ) I say 'refreshing' because you show Islam the way it is ...pure and simple, without any complications, etc.

I would like to share some excellent information that might help you better understand the problems being faced by Muslims. First of all, I believe that the current situation Muslims are in is because of their own actions (not following Islam -- plain and simple), but at the same time I don't blame them 100%. I need your permission so I can share the information with you and hopefully you will understand WHY I don't blame Muslims 100% ... may be 99.9 %, but not 100% .

This is my first time at this site and I don't know if we are allowed to post URL's in entries, that's why I needed your permission. Keep up the great work and I agree with your entry: MUSLIMS AND ANTI-SEMITISM. I got your main point that we should NEVER generalize or make blanket statements. Many thanks for including the verses from Holy Quran.

What do you think about Jews who oppose Zionism? (Not all Jews are Zionists).

Take care and be well.

Peace,
Aisha

Welcome, sister Aisha, and thanks for visiting. Whatever you enter in the URL field when you post a comment will be hyperlinked after your name when the comment is displayed. You can also post links in your comment. Type the name you would like to give your link, for instance "please visit this site". Use your cursor to highlight the name, then click the "URL" button directly above the Comments field. In the pop-up alert box, enter the URL for the site, then click OK. This will take your link name and URL and put them in the proper format to create a hyperlink when the comment is displayed.

You are free to post any comment or link that you would like; however I reserve the right to delete any comments that use obscene language, promote hate, or link to sites that do.

Everything at the muhajabah.com domain is my site; not all articles are written by me but I have indicated those that are not. The blogs are a small part of my site. The rest is basically static content providing information and resources while my blogs are more dynamic; they're where I talk about issues that interest me or that I think are important.

I have a collection of links to articles by Jews in Support of Palestine; I believe at the current time there are about 300 such articles linked from the page. I am glad to work together with those who speak up for justice.

Assalamualikum smile

I would like to share this speech with others who haven't had a chance to read it. The speech was given in the year 2001, but I believe that we, especially Muslims, should read it and at least be fair and listen to what the Taliban have to say.

Taliban Speech @ University of Southern California

One doesn't have to 100% agree with the speaker, but shouldn't we be fair and listen to BOTH sides before we pass our judgment? By 'both' I mean Western media and the Taliban. Majority of us get our NEWS from western media and we all know they are not always unbiased.

It is a bit lengthy speech, but plz be patient and read it in its complete form. The speech was given in USC, sponsored by MSA (Muslim Students' Association).

Regards,
Aisha
