various and sundry

Date: November 20, 2002 | 15 Ramadan 1423 Hijriah
Subjects: family
In the previous entry to this blog I was complaining about how many server error messages I was getting this morning. It turns out that it was indeed a problem on the webhost's end as I later got an email notification that they were having a problem running all CGI scripts (all my :MT: apps including comments are CGI scripts). It looks like they got it fixed, al-hamdulillah.

After the rain and gloom on Monday and Tuesday, we had a beautiful day today. Some early morning fog then blue skies all afternoon. Relatively warm weather for this time of year as well. And a beautiful nearly full moon out tonight. Which reminds me that Ramadan is nearly half over. Where did the time go? deathstare

My winter vacation plans are that my parents and I will drive down to the San Francisco area, where my younger sister lives and works, inshallah. After spending a few days there we'll all fly to Nevada, inshallah, which will be our center of operations for visiting some national parks in the Southwest including the Grand Canyon. I'm afraid we'll be staying in "sin city" a.k.a. Las Vegas. Oh well, I can always stay in the hotel room tongue Actually, my family aren't the Vegas types either; we'll only be there because it happens to be a major city in the right location, and maybe to gawk a bit (note to self: remind Dad to lower his gaze...)
