And since I'm asking, what's "Masha Allah"?
Carol
SWT is an abbreviation of Subhana wa Ta'ala which is an Arabic phrase meaning something like "be he glorified and exalted". So when I say "Allah SWT" it means "God, be He glorified and exalted".
Mashallah (also spelled "masha'Allah") is hard to translate succinctly into English. The literal meaning is "what God has willed". The sense it which it's used is more like "what a wonderful thing God has willed".
I hope you'll check out my glossary which explains these and other common Islamic words and phrases.
