winter in the Southwest?

Date: November 02, 2002 | 26 Shaban 1423 Hijriah
Subjects: family
Inshallah, my family may be going on vacation to Arizona or the Southwest during late December. My sister and my dad both have lots of vacation days at work, and I have several weeks of winter break from school. My mom and I were discussing it today and I suggested Arizona because I've never been to the Southwestern states and it would be cool to visit them. Also, that's a great place to go during the winter! We're not sure yet if everything will come together, but I'm hoping it does, inshallah.

I haven't had a real vacation, that is, going on a trip, in so long. Not enough money. But my parents would pay my way for this trip.

That's cool.... it'd be nice to get a break from your daily routine. Hope it goes well.

We spent Thanksgiving in Sedona, AZ two years ago. The climate was lovely and the surroundings awe-inspiring. Can't recommend Sedona more highly.

We're now discussing visiting the Grand Canyon, which I would love to do, God willing. I don't think I could endure Arizona's climate in the summer; to me it's too hot if it's above 80° But it sounds like a great place to go in the winter smile
