blogging from school

Date: September 23, 2002 | 16 Rajab 1423 Hijriah
Subjects: school
I'm at a computer in the library on campus. So far the day is going well. My classes today have been very easy, since we're just doing introductions and then get out early. I have the same professor for my first two classes, which is cool. He seems like a good teacher with a good sense of humor and he doesn't waste our time with silly things.

Although 2/3 of the students at the college have just recently graduated from high school, a lot of people in the paralegal program are a bit older, so I fit in more than with a bunch of kids ten years younger than me.

I've seen some Muslimahs in hijab on campus today, which is good. I assume that there are also Muslim guys here but if so they dress like everybody else so there's no way to tell on sight. That's one thing about wearing hijab and niqab: no one can mistake what religion I belong to smile

Its lovely how you tend to bond quicker with people (some of them) that wear hijaab. I know when I started college, I was the only one wearing hijaab (sort of the yo-yo type but hijaab none-the-less) and there was this Muslim girl that worked in accounts Department at the College . I could never tell whether she was Muslim or not, until we found out what her name was.
