getting out the vote

Date: September 17, 2002 | 10 Rajab 1423 Hijriah
Subjects: thoughts
There was a primary election today, so I went to vote. Sometimes I wonder if I can change anything by voting. But I know that I won't be able to change anything if I don't vote. I consider voting an important part of my responsibility as a U.S. citizen. It's just that sometimes there don't seem to be any good candidates to vote for. I try to choose the lesser of two evils in that case.

P.S. I wonder why judges are elected in this state. It's hard for a voter to find out very much about a judge or determine how the judge will decide cases in the future. I'm not sure that electing judges is the best method of selecting them. But that's how its done here.
