new way to subscribe to me

Date: August 26, 2002 | 17 Jumada al-Akhir 1423 Hijriah
Subjects: website, features
There's a new way to subscribe to Al-Muhajabah's Islamic blogs using Bloglet. Here's what to do:

1) Go to www.bloglet.com

2) If you are not already a Bloglet member, register; otherwise, sign in

3) You will see a box that says "account manager" and one of the options is "your subscriptions". Click on this link.

4) You will see a section that says "To subscribe to an RSS feed enter the feed URL below" and there is a form field.

5) Enter http://www.muhajabah.com/islamicblog/index.rdf in the form field and click the "subscribe" button

6) You are now subscribed to Al-Muhajabah's Islamic Blogs. Wasn't that easy!

Addition: Thanks to the tip in the comments from Monsur of Bloglet.com I have added a Bloglet subscription form to the sidebar for all you Bloglet fans. If you're not sure which subscription service to use, click on the "more" link below to read more about the two subscription services. Please contact me at webmaster@muhajabah.com if you have any questions about subscription. Jazakallah khayrun.

There are two subscription services available now for Al-Muhajabah's Islamic Blogs, one via my Movable Type installation and one via Bloglet. Here are some points of difference:

1) Bloglet sends out a single email each day listing all new posts during that day in all the blogs that you are subscribed to. The MT subscription service sends out a new email for each new post. If you are concerned about your inbox, you should probably go with Bloglet. However, if you find that you don't get the Bloglet email until hours after you saw the new posts through visiting the site yourself, then the MT service is better because you will be notified as soon as my site is updated each time.

2) The MT subscription service allows me to personalize the message that I send out, although I haven't been doing much with this yet. If you are interested in receiving a more personal, chatty email from me about each post, you might try subscribing via MT and send me an email to let me know what you want. I am interested in working with my MT subscribers to explore the options available in the MT service.

Salaam. Thanks for trying Bloglet! To make it easier for your users to subscribe, you can also include a subscription box for Bloglet on your site. Just visit this link to get the HTML code: http://www.bloglet.com/admin/GetCode.asp?id=1158

Sis starrysky, I have unsubscribed you from the MT subscription service so you will no longer be receiving the emails, inshallah.
