being grateful for what we have

Date: August 24, 2002 | 15 Jumada al-Akhir 1423 Hijriah
Subjects: family
My mom told me that my cousin and his wife are getting divorced. It's not because they've been having troubles, but she decided that she was "bored" and didn't want to spend her whole life tied down to him. I wonder if she'll really find the "man of her dreams". Most men that age who aren't married, there's a reason for it. And there are so many people who would love to have a stable marriage to a good, responsible husband like she had. I hope that she doesn't come to regret making this decision.

My parents have been married for over 30 years and they're still going strong, al-hamdulillah.

Argh... that's quite a lame reason to divorce someone, I suppose he deserves better. If she was bored, maybe she should put more effort, marriage isn't a game, grr.... dumb society..

Yeah, the reason may not seem good enough, but it's better that she divorces him rather than cheat on him because she's bored.
