I wish that everybody could see the beauty of Islam. Yet some people seem to look only for what confirms their own prejudices or bigotry.

It can be hard to see the beauty of something when so many people around you make it look ugly. People need to be an example. Being a good example is better than going around doing da'wah and preaching.

When I wrote this, I was really thinking about non-Muslims who seem to insist on judging Islam entirely by the actions of Muslims, even if you bring mountains of proof that the Quran and Sunna say those things are wrong. I mean, would they want their own religion and themselves to be judged in that way? It isn't fair. It's prejudice.

However, you made a good point, sis Cindy. I could also have written the post: if only there weren't so many Muslims who dishonor the deen by their actions.
