rejection - or just ignorance?

Sometimes some Muslims get carried away in talking about the superiority of Muslims over kuffar. This bothers me for a personal reason. Up until about three years ago, I was not a Muslim. This was not because I knew all about Islam and had arrogantly rejected it. Instead, it was because I was ignorant of Islam (in fact, looking back, I'm astonished at how little I knew about Islam). Once I learned about Islam, I came to see its truth and beauty and to become a Muslim.

Those who were born into Muslim families have been given a great blessing by Allah SWT. Sometimes it must be easy to forget that not everyone is so blessed.

O you, those who have faith, when you go forth in the way of Allah, be careful to discriminate and do not say to one who offers you peace, "You are not a believer," you seeking the profits of the life of this world - with Allah are plentiful riches. You were like that before, until Allah bestowed His favor on you. So take care to discriminate. Allah is informed of what you do." - Surah an-Nisa ayah 94
