As some of you may know, I'm 29. It's been seven years since I graduated from college and eleven since I graduated from high school. I enjoy interacting with the teenagers and young adults that I know online, but I must admit that sometimes I am really struck by how young some people are compared to me.

Youth is a blessing that we don't appreciate until it passes from us. To be so confident in yourself and your future. Not to have learned the hard way how often in life you get knocked down and have to keep picking yourself up and trying again. To be so sure that you would never give in to this or do that. It hurts when that innocent confidence goes away from you. And it's sad to watch it happen to somebody else, even though you know it's got to happen. At the same time, it's beautiful to watch a person mature and learn to handle problems with courage and grace. Mashallah (I'm thinking of one person in particular but won't say who)

May Allah SWT guide us all to appreciate the blessings He has given us, and may He help us to pass the tests that He sets for us.
