I don't get this

Date: July 17, 2002 | 6 Jumada al-Awwal 1423 Hijriah
Subjects: veiling
One thing that's always bothered me about some people who advocate for niqab being fard is that they insist that this is the only valid viewpoint and that nearly all scholars throughout history have held it. I'm sorry, but that just ain't true. There is a difference of opinion on this issue, always has been, and probably always will be. Why do people try to claim a unanimity that doesn't exist?

BTW, if you're reading this and you think that niqab is the consensus of all Muslim scholars everywhere, visit the link I provided and read it. Do you think those people are lying?

The fact is, this kind of over-reaching turns people off and leads them to think that niqab-supporters are trying to snow them.
