Surah at-Taghabun ayah 1

Arabic text of ayah

Yusabbihu lillahi maa fi as-samawati wa maa fi al-ardi lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shayin qadirun

Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, declares the Praises and Glory of Allah. To Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs praise: and He has power over all things

The following is an excerpt of commentary on this ayah, from Tafsir Ibn Kathir:

He is the One Who has control over all creation, the One praised for all He created and decreed. Whatever He wills occurs without resistance, and whatever He does not will, never occurs
