Surah at-Talaq ayah 12

Arabic text of ayah

Allahu alladhi khalaqa sab'a samawatin wa mina al-ardi mithlahunna yatanazzalu al-amru baynahunna lita'lamu anna Allaha 'ala kulli shayin qadirun wa anna Allaha qad ahata bi kulli shayin 'ilman

Allah is He Who created seven heavens and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them descends His Command: that you may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge.

The following is an excerpt of commentary on this ayah, from Tafsir Ibn Kathir:

In the Two Sahihs, there is a Hadith that states, Whoever usurps the land of somebody unjustly, even if it was a mere hand span, then his neck will be encircled with it down to the seven earths
