Surah al-Mulk ayah 20

Date: November 26, 2004 | 12 Shawwal 1425 Hijriah
Arabic text of ayah

Amman hadha alladhi huwa jundun lakum yansurukum min duni ar-rahmani ini al-kafiruna illa fi ghuririn

Who is there who can help you as an army instead of the Most Merciful? The rejectors are nothing but in delusion

The following is an excerpt of commentary on this ayah, from Tafsir Ibn Kathir:

Allah addresses the idolators who worship others besides Him, seeking help and sustenance from them. Allah rebukes them for what they believe, and He informs them that they will not attain that which they hope for. There is no protector or helper for you besides Him
