Surah al-Qalam ayah 51

Date: October 26, 2004 | 12 Ramadan 1425 Hijriah
Arabic text of ayah

Wa in yakadu alladheena kafaru layuzliqunaka bi absarihim lamma sami'u adh-dhikra wa yaquluna inna hu lamajnunun

And indeed those who reject (the truth) would trip you up by their eyes when they hear the reminder, and they say: Surely he is possessed

The following is an excerpt of commentary on this ayah, from Tafsir Ibn Kathir:

This means 'They are jealous of you due to their hatred of you, and were it not for Allah's protection of you, defending you against them (then their evil eye would harm you)'
